God wants you to accept yourself and like who you are.
He doesn’t want you to reject yourself because of imperfections.
He wants you to learn to deal with your weaknesses. Because the truth is, we all have plenty of them.
The Bible tells us three things when it comes to our weaknesses:
1. Jesus understands our weaknesses (Heb. 4:15)
2. The Holy Spirit bears us up in our weakness (Rom. 8:26)
3. God chooses weak and foolish things of the world (1 Cor. 1:27)
If I look at my weaknesses and tell you what I believe my value is, it would be less than nothing. We have to realize our worth is not based on anything we do, but in what God has already done!
Satan wants us to have a low opinion of ourselves and be insecure so that we live ineffectively for God. This mindset makes us miserable and unreceptive to God’s blessings, because we don’t think we deserve them.
But you deserve the blessings of God, not because of what you’ve done, but because of what Jesus has done for you!
Don’t buy into the enemies lies. God loves you even in the middle of your weaknesses and failures. You’re going to make mistakes in life. However, you don’t have to let those mistakes define you. Jesus has already defined you as one of His own.
The bible says God’s power works best through our weakness anyway! (2 Corinthians 12:9)
So hold your head high. Learn to trust God through your weaknesses. Let’s grow through them and avoid making the same mistakes over and over.
Begin every day by saying “This is the day that the Lord has made and I will rejoice in it. I am favored of the Lord. This will be a great day!”
You don’t have to perform for God anymore. He likes you just the way you are!
