Day 14 of 21 Days of Prayer

Romans 12:2 “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”

Why do our minds have to be renovated or transformed? Mainly, because we have a sin consciousness; we may have received Jesus as our Lord; however, it takes time to lose patterns of condemning thoughts. As we take in more of God’s thoughts through His Word, we begin to have more and more of a righteous consciousness. A sin consciousness causes us to sin more; a righteous consciousness causes us to sin less! On the cross Jesus shed blood dealt with sin once and for all (His blood continually cleanses us from all sin!). Sin does no have to rule our lives! We’ve been given the opportunity to have God’s Spirit direct and govern our lives. God will always lead us toward success!

Today say, “My mind is transformed by God’s thoughts.”
